I Will Sing You A Lullaby
Our little one turned seven years old recently. She is such a joy and a wonderful gift from God. I cherish each day of being her mother.

Golden Slumbers

Golden slumber kiss your eyes,
Smiles await you when you rise.
Sleep, pretty baby,
Do not cry,
And I will sing you a lullaby.

Care is heavy, therefore sleep,
While I o'er you watch do keep.
Sleep, pretty darling,
Do not cry,
And I will sing you a lullaby.

I began a tradition with our little one in the last couple of years. Each night after we read, we have *sing and scratch* time. I heard about this on Family Life one day and thought this particular child would love this idea since she is always begging for me to scratch her back, tickle her arms, etc. She does love this time and I think it is a fitting way to end her day. I am hoping she will always remember our sing and scratch time. I softly scratch her back while singing hymns(2-3). We have these 2 books and I sing from them. Such a sweet time.

Happy Birthday precious girl!

I LOVE that song! Precious! We sing all the time around our house also. There is almost nothing sweeter than little voices singing hymns! My kids like to have their backs scratched too. Our back scratching is mostly done while they are doing schoolwork or during nightly Bible reading time.

I do the same thing for our children. We have five in one room. Our oldest and I sing and then we each take turns scratching. It is a routine. So sweet.
