Monday Menus

Monday menu time! I hope everyone had a wonderful Resurrection Sunday and weekend. We sure did and was blessed tremendously by reverent God honoring music presentations...wonderful preaching, sweet hospitality from friends, and simply fun times with the children, too!
Friday evening we attended our Good Friday service and shared the Lord's supper together. It was a special(convicting) evening reflecting on Christ's death and our sin. Saturday my second oldest child had a 3 soccer games out of town...and the high was 41 degrees that day...so my husband and another great friend took Abigail and his twin daughters to the games. We opted for me and my oldest to stay in from the cold with the little ones. Good idea, I think! I love soccer, but do not like the Spring cold games!!!!
Sunday we awoke and the girls and I made the crescent empty tomb rolls, while I shared how Christ arose according to the scriptures. They were really good! But after spending more time than usual on breakfast for a Sunday morning...at 7:15 I thought we were never going to get in the car by 8 am (we have to leave by 8am to get there on time)...but somehow we made it even after we took a few family pictures. We were shown such sweet hospitality by some great friends...after church we went to their house for lunch and spent the day there...enjoying great food, wonderful Christian fellowship, and lots of games for the children! Thank you, Jason and Krista and the Lapps! Your home was so welcoming and warm...the food was DELICIOUS! My children had a great time! And...it was great get to know you all better! We look forward to you coming to our home next!
Sunday evening we attended church for a wonderful musical worship time. The choir sang some and our music pastor had a mini concert..also there was a special concert using the songs from Sovereign Grace ministries Valley of Vision CD, which is based on the Valley of Vision book of Puritan Prayers....I highly recommend both the book and the CD.
Here are my menu plans! Please see Organizing Junkie for more ideas!
Monday--Poppy Seed Chicken, rice, steamed buttered brocolli
Tuesday--Herb Roasted Pork Loin and new potatoes, green beans, whole wheat rolls
Wednesday--Leftovers
Thursday--Cheese Enchiladas and black beans...maybe chips and queso, too
Friday--Spaghetti and Meatballs, salad, cheesy bread
Saturday--Takeout pizza or chinese
Also, could you pray for my pastor's 16 year old son..he is having some serious health problems and in a lot of pain...I don't want to go into details, because I do not have their permission...but they need our prayers right now. Thank you!

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

MMM, I love poppy seed. I'll have to check out that recipe.
Will say a prayer for your pastor's son.
I'll keep your pastor's son in my prayers and thoughts.
Your menu plan looks terrific as always.
I am with you on those cold games! As much as I love watching them, it is sheer torture to my Texas bones!! The evening practices are the worst because as the sun goes down it is frigid.
Easter morning was a little hectic here too. We had to snap our shots after church.
Where did you get the prairie dress for Abigail? My girls would love that! Hannah's American Girl is Kirsten and she has all her accessories. She would love to have the life-size versions :)
Yum! Your menu looks great!
Lifting your pastor's son up in prayer.
Looks delicious Kim. Sounds like your weekend was wonderful. Will definitely say a prayer for your pastor's son.

I tried to make those empty tomb rolls once and they didn't come out right.
