A Daughter's Cry
A Daughter's Cry

In a distant land a baby cries

She knows something is not right.

Her mother's arms were just so warm,

Now she is alone in the night.

In a distant land a mother cries

For she just gave up a baby she loves.

Her country says it must be done,

How it breaks her heart, but she must!

But God watches over that little soul

And keeps her safe until morning light.

He holds her gently in His loving arms

And tells her heart, it is all right.

He has a plan for this little child

A plan to give her life, abundant and free.

A hope and a future, a love so true

The way He planned it to be.

So the tiny child waits and she knows in her heart

That there is a family to call her very own.

One day they will come from far, far away

To embrace her in their arms.

One day the child will understand and see

That God had especially chosen her

To be our child and God's child, too

A Miracle that only God can do.

That is beautiful and so true. God prepares the way and He also prepares hearts on both sides of the ocean. We could tell that God had prepared her heart to join our family. He is so good!

Kim, what a beautiful weaving of words!

I can tell Lydia has been in the forefront of your mind lately. May our God hold you and comfort you as you wait. May He comfort and protect sweet Lydia as she waits to be united with your precious family.

Thank you for sharing your heart with all of us. I am incredibly touched to be included on something so close to your heart.
