This Week at a Glance
One of the wonderful things about homeschooling is the flexibility of our time. We have chosen this week to be our Spring Break....mainly because it looks as if the weather will be nice for us to get outside and do some fun things! We hardly ever take a big trip on Spring break, because typically this is the busiest time for my husband at his office. So,we take a nice trip during the summer and usually a beach trip in the fall. I try to do fun local things here during Spring break. Remember I have all ages and I try to find things they all would enjoy. Also, one day (it may take 2 days) this week, my oldest daughter is deep cleaning the house for us to make some money for her mission trip this summer...all of her expenses for the trip must be earned. This is one way she is making money.

Here is what we have planned:

Outdoor Easter Egg Hunt, picnic snack time and nature walk, violin recital in the evening

One day this week...I'm not sure which one...Trip to the zoo, lunch out, Children's Museum...maybe a little bit of shopping if the little ones are doing okay.

Rest and church

Lunch in the park, fly kites in the park, play and stay at the park most of the day.

Shopping and salon day

I will leave you with these wonderful thoughts from *Grace Gems*.

First place in your thoughts

(Brooks, "The Golden Key to Open Hidden Treasures")

Friends, these things must have first place in your thoughts:

1. Your sins--to humble you and abase you before God.

2. God's free and rich and sovereign grace--to soften and
melt you down into submission to His holy will.

3. The Lord Jesus Christ--to assist, help, strengthen, and
influence you in all your duties and services.

4. The blessed Scriptures--to guide you and lead you, "and
to be a lamp unto your feet, and a light unto your paths."

5. The afflictions of the godly--to draw out your charity,
mercy, pity, sympathy and compassion to men in misery.

6. The glory and happiness of the eternal world--to arm you
and steel you against all your sins, snares and temptations.

Have a wonderful week and please check back...I'm hoping to have pictures of our Spring Break.

Your spring break sounds like so much fun! You can send your daughter over to my house and I would happily pay her to deep clean! :) I think it's wonderful that she's earning her way.

Blessings~
