Bring Me Hope
I have this video on my sidebar, but it needs to be in a post all by itself! It is so beautiful! Enjoy!
Please join me in praying for our daughter, Lydia, and all the orphaned children around the world. As believers, we need to be doing what we can to give these children hope in Christ.

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

Definitely praying with you, Kim. For your daughter, for ours, and for the countless others that will not have a "forever" home.
While I appreciate that it is important for the Chinese to be sure that families who adopt these children are properly screened, seeing this video makes me feel discouraged that children such as your Lydia must stay in the orphanages for so long, especially when their families are so ready to have them join them. How wonderful it would be if they could join their adopting families while they are younger infants!
I too join you in praying for the children of the world who are waiting for families. I wish I could adopt a few more!
Sally,
I agree and wish the process was quicker. I think it takes 6 months for an infant to be declared legally abandoned...so 7 months at the age of referral is about as young as they can be.
We have asked(in our adoption petition) for a baby or twin babies as young as possible. It would be nice if she was under a year old!

Although adopting internationally (and domestically!) can be very trying and a lengthy process, I'd do it all over again!!! Thanks for highlighting this video--a much needed (and welcomed) reminder to pray for the orphans around the world.
What a joy it will be when your Lydia is no longer an "orphan"!!!
This video is precious.
We have friends who just returned from China with their little girl...she was about 16 months when they got her.
Praying for you and them and what God would have ME do about these children!
I do not think my family would qualify to adopt from China. I understand that the requirements have changed and it is now harder to qualify.
Still.......will be praying!

Oh, Kim. That was wonderful. Tears are streaming down my face! Praying for Lydia and all the orphaned children.
This is the video that, while we were watching it, made us know we are supposed to go back to China. Well, now it won't be China, but we know there is a darling little girl SOMEWHERE waiting on us. LOVE this precious video! ; )
In case I never got back with emails, know that we are all squared away with all that and I can't wait to see pics of the new renovations in your home!
Im praying!!
