A Weekend of Firsts
We have had an eventful weekend...some firsts of firsts....me running a 10k in a thunderstorm, Abigail running a 5k, and Gracie attending our homeschool prom! Such fun memories!!! Gracie went with a very nice young man from our church as friends. They have served together on 3 mission trips and have been in youth group together for 5 years. We know his family and think the world of them! He handled it perfectly...talking with Mike before asking Gracie...being a wonderful gentlemen about the whole thing. Mike met with him once before the big event and had a wonderful talk. We are thankful for such good godly friends for Gracie. And we are so very thankful for Christian families raising their children to be so respectful and kind! We think it is great for her to enjoy these kinds of activities with good friends in a wholesome environment. Mom and Dad are very pleased with how it went! Here are some pictures from the big event.

Congrats on your race!

The prom looks like a wonderful opportunity for friends to make memories :) Gracie's dress is perfect! Facebook has been full of pictures from public school prom weekends from all around the places we have friends. It's nice to know there are options for homeschoolers, too! ;)

Pandamom,Welcome back!!! I have missed you.

Yes, those are just a few of Gracie's homeschool friends! We have a lot of families in our church that homeschool. That has been a blessing!

She looks beautiful! I love it that there is a homeschool prom now! There was nothing like that when I was younger. Hannah and Ben were able to go to one here. Mom and Dad have gotten to be chaperones. I think everyone had a blast. You are so blessed that Gracie has such a wonderful group of friends. We pray that our kids might be so blessed. Thanks for sharing these pics.

beautiful. Simply beautiful. What is most beautiful is that we see here a glimpse of young people wanting to please Christ in their lives and are living proof of their desires.

Soooo cute!! I LOVE the chocolate dress. It goes great with her hair, skin tone & gorgeous eyes - and so beautiful cause it's also modest. :) Good job on the parenting, Kim!

Looking at your children, especially your older girls, gives me encouragement to keep homeschooling! I can look at them and tell they are set apart with inward and outward beauty!
