Sweet Aroma
Mmmmmmm...this has been burning in my kitchen the last few days and it smells so good! I will be starting to prepare our Thanksgiving feast soon, so this candle will be burning as I prepare. Such a nice aroma!

My prayer lately has been that I would have a servant's heart during this season as well as be focused on who God is. When I remind myself of truths from His Word, I try to remain steadfast in my desire to serve others and serve God. I have a tendency to allow the stress of the busy days to steal my joy. I can easily become overwhelmed with all the things that need to be done...and I can easily be distracted by all of the glittery and shiny *things* that our world has on display during this over commercialized time of the year.

My thoughts lately have been centered around these truths:

* God is all wise, all powerful, and all good...no majesty in this world can compare.

* He is the giver of all good and perfect gifts.

* He is unchangeable...there is no variation in His character or His glory.

* He is more beautiful and satisfying that any treasure or pleasure in this world.

* He is worthy of continual praise from my lips and heart...Thanksgiving everyday!

As this candle glows and gives a beautiful sweet aroma, may it remind me that what is in my heart and what comes out of my mouth in praise should be a pleasant aroma to God...always giving thanks, always treasuring Him above all, and always seeking Him as the one true Savior of my soul.

Amen, Kim! Beautifully expressed!

Have you heard of Scentsy? I have one of the plug ins with a Pomegranate wax in it--and it smells so good too!
