Death Is Not Dying
I am putting this on both of my blogs, because I know some of you only read Lifesong...not my running blog...so I wanted to pass this on to as many readers as possible. You will be blessed! As some of you know, Jane mentioned this a while back on her blog and then my pastor's wife reminded me about it...so I finally have had some time to sit down and watch this video and hear Rachel talk about how wonderful our God is...even through extreme suffering. I have wanted to watch this for a while, but life has been busy and sometimes we put off things that can be the greatest benefit and blessing. The video is worth the hour, trust me. I love reading her letters, also. She is glorifying God through extreme difficulty...knowing that God is sovereign and loving. And He is who He is, not who we want Him to be...and he does what He knows is best, not what we think He should do. Some great reminders to us all!
Hopefully you can find some time to watch it and if you are like me, get your whole family to watch it, too.
I think we should all be praying for their family as well. She is dying. She has a husband and 2 very young children who love her dearly. This must be so hard...God's grace is somehow sufficient in these times...but we still question, cry out to God, and grieve for them...I don't pretend to understand it all, but I trust the One who does...and He loves us more than we can ever know.

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

This is POWERFUL, is it not? She's staring death in the face and STILL praises the Lord! Would I do the same? Or would I be bitter and throw a little pity party for myself?
I do pray for her and her family.
His,
Mrs. U
Kim, I just finished watching this today. I had started it a week or so ago and am so blessed to have gone back today. She is blessing so many through her trial by God's amazing grace! I want to commit to pray each day for her and her family.
Kim,
Thank you for sharing this with us. Mary Alice, Maje, and I sat down and watched it together. It was definitely worth our time. This is the second time this week that I have heard the message about saying "Yes" instead of "No" to your kids (due to personal selfishness). I really appreciated hearing her moving story and was so encouraged by her faith.
Hi Kim,
I haven't checked your blog in a while. We just returned from China with our newest daughter last month. A four year old certainly changes the dynamics of daily life! For the better of course and we are loving it!
I went to your adoption blog, Sugar Pie Honey Bunch, and was sad to see you went private. But I totally understand. Just wondering how your adoption journey is going.
Blessings,
Lydia
P.S. I love your recipes too! Thanks for publishing them and links too.
I really will make time to watch... sounds like a wonderful story. What is your running blog? How are you doing?
Please do watch it.
My running blog is www.gothedistance-kim.blogspot.com.
There is also a link on my sidebar.
I'm still not able to run at all...not fun!
