Pray For the Chapman's
Please pray for the Chapman's. My heart is breaking...I can not imagine what they are going through right now...and their son...there are just no words.
Here is the link to their personal blog if you'd like to let them know you are praying: Go Here.
You can find the details for the visitation and services here . They are asking that if anyone would like to give a gift, instead of flowers, donate to Shaohannah's Hope. You will see the information for that on the above page I just linked to. What a terrible tragic accident...not only their great loss, but the great pain the son must be in, also. It is just heart breaking. I have stopped many, many times throughout the day praying for them...I wish there was something more to do.If you'd like to meet little Maria, you can visit their blog. There has been an outpouring of love shown to them for which I am grateful...but I have heard from others who have gone through difficult things like this that...the hard part is when things go back to normal...with her gone. We need to continue the prayers and support.
Daddy's--Go dance with your daughters...As we have seen there are no guarantees in this life. Precious life can be taken away with the blink of an eye. We can not be sure of much. What we do know is that God loves us and has made a way for us to love Him, by choosing for His Son to die on a cross for our sins--so that we can have hope in God. We have nothing else to put our faith in...to do so would be much more tragic than losing a child. We mourn and grieve...but not as those who have no hope. If you are one who is not sure of where your hope lies or who your faith is in, please seek out a Bible, read it, and see God's plan for your life... which is to give you hope, forgiveness of your heavy burden of sin, and peace with a Holy God. Ask someone to help you know what God has done for you. We have this one life. And we don't really know what tomorrow brings for any of us.
Please join me in praying for the Chapman family and also those who mourn and have no hope.
Romans 5:1-5:
Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God. More than that, we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.

You can read about the 2 hour memorial service for little Maria here. It sounds like a beautiful time of sweet memories...a time of God healing hearts...a time of love and support for the Chapman's. May God be glorified!

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

You are the second person whose blog talks about this today.
I'm so sad for them!
I know, Kim. I really thought I was going to be sick when I heard the news. I'm so sad. I have not been able to stop thinking about them since I heard last night. Thanks for gathering prayer warriors for this family.
They have a family blog here:

Kim, thanks for posting. We have a 5 year old from China so it hits close to home. Here is a website the Chapman's have set up. It has a video of Maria.

Words are so inadequate, yet His grace is overflowing. Their love and passion for adoption has been such an encouragement and testimony to many.
