We went to this last year and it was phenomenal! I was SO glad the book was coming out so I could stop trying to write down EVERY single thing they said! Enjoy, and give us a wave! We're not far!! ;)

Kim,

How cool!! Take us with you! I just wanted to pop over from boy-land, I mean man-land, and thank you again for all your sweet comments on my blog. I wish I say still long enough to read others' more in depth, but at the moment I'm shoulder-deep in travel papers, packing for China, etc......It's funny how you wait a lifetime it seems, and then when "you're up," you still have a million things to do.....Anyway, I'm also praying for you and yours' as you endure the wait as well. Nobody understands like those of us who've done it. Our prayers are with you! Have a blessed week. Gotta go pack all 3 of them for Kanakuk-Colorado and K-Country--they leave EARLY Wed. morning!

Love and Blessings,
Rhonda

When are you coming??? That's MY neck of the woods, too! I know it might be hard, but it would be great to meet in person! ; ) I live about 15 minutes north of your picture. Smile.

Our pastor took his sons to NC a couple of months ago and they LOVED it! My oldest is saving money to buy the book for a missionary family that we sponsor. I haven't had a chance to read it yet. You and your girls will have a wonderful time!

For any of your readers attending Rebelution who don't live in the area and depending on how much time you have since eating and shopping is NOT the priorty by any means, here are some places to eat/see: Cafe Brazil in Richardson has amazing breakfasts and there is a location just south on the service road from THBC on the same side of the service road as the church. We have service or frontage roads that are on either side of the highway here in Texas. The Shops at Legacy Town Center [at the intersection of Legacy Drive and Dallas Parkway] in West Plano has great shopping and dining--Mi Cocina which is a locally owned Tex Mex place that is delicious and actually has some healthy items on their menu; Half Shells for any seafood fans, Taco Diner which is owned by the same family who owns Mi Cocina but it has unique menu items, Cafe Express, Sal's Pizza, Samui Thai, Nicola's [Italian], Jasper's [touted as backyard bbq gourmet and VERY good] and Naan which is Korean/Indian. There is also a french bistro type bakery sandwich place too. All of the restaurants there are good and it is easy to get to. If you like Pei Wei, there are 3 locations close to the Heights BC. One at 15th street just west of 75, one over by Willow Bend Mall just west of the mall at Midway Road and West Park Blvd right by PRestonwood Baptist Church, and one just south of the SE corner of 121 and Preston.
Again, shopping is not the main focus here but if you need anything and don't know where to go...
The Container Store is opening their second Plano store on 6/28 just up Dallas Parkway from the Shops at Legacy. They are at the SE corner of Highway 121 and Dallas Parkway. As far as malls here are a few...Stonebriar Center at the NW corner of Highway 121 and Preston Road, The Shops at Willow Bend is a mall located south of the Shops at Legacy and on the corner of Dallas Parkway and West Park Blvd. There is also an IKEA at the NE corner of Highway 121 and Dallas Parkway.

If you need to hit a Container Store but can't get to West Plano...they have a location just north of THBC on US 75 [also called Central Expressway because in Texas we like to double name our highways] and it is located on the NW corner of US 75 [Central Expwy] and Plano Parkway. Collin Creek Mall is also right there at the NW corner of 75 and Plano Parkway. If west Plano is too far west, 2 towns north on 75 is Allen and at 75 and Bethany Drive there is a new center on the west side of Bethany and 75 which has a Mi Cocina and some other nice restaurants as well. Allen also has a very nice outlet and is located just further north at the NW corner of Stacy Road and 75.

Enjoy your awesome time in the Lord at Rebelution, I will be praying for safe travels for all of you!

Thanks Anonymous! We will definitely be checking out some of the places you mentioned! The legacy shops sound like something we would love! We may go there later today! Thanks for all the helpful info on the Dallas area!

You are so welcome!!!!!!!!!

We will be eating at Mi Cocina tomorrow afternoon with our daughter as it is her favorite restaurant--- before heading to the new Container Store and then taking her to her grandparents so we can have a date night. Fortunately for us they only live one block away.

I can't wait for her to be old enough to attend something like Rebelution.

Have a wonderful time with your daughters, fellow believers and the Lord tomorrow.

In the meantime, Psalm 4:8!

Hugs, your fan from Plano!!
