Preparations Made For Lydia To Join Us....
In the process of getting our children's bedrooms finished and everyone moved around for the homecoming of Lydia, I realized that I never showed you Abigail's room. Gracie's new room is shown here...as well as Evie and Jack Henry's rooms found here. Abigail is the only one that stayed in the same room...we just painted, purchased new bedding and added a neat canvas mural for her wall. So, it is kinda like a new room for her. It is bright and cheerful, just like Abigail's personality! Gracie chose neutrals with red...a more sophisticated color palette...and Abigail said she wanted lots of bright colors to make a bright and cheerful fun room. I think we achieved that! I hope you enjoy the pictures!

This is the first thing you see when you come into her room...a large custom made canvas with her name and her favorite verse from the Bible. We have it hung above her bed.

The built in desk, where Abigail does most of her schoolwork.

One of our favorite pictures of Abigail...when she was five...notice the chipped fingernail polish. This will always be hanging in her room!

The vanity area in Abigail's bathroom.

Another picture of the vanity area in her bathroom...lime green marquis diamond wallpaper with a pop of pink...a bright pink lamp.

Her bedding is from Pottery Barn Teen and the walls are a bright turquoise. It is bright and fun!

Hi Kim,I've said it before but I love your blog! I visit almost daily these days and I love reading the rich, deeper posts and also the fun, lighter posts about decorations and such. Your blog is very God honoring, helpful and fun! :)

I just ordered a canvas for my daughter's room which I have not received yet. She is just two. I am looking forward to hanging it. I was wondering though if you'd share where you got the canvas for Abigail. Also, I love the monogrammed pillow on her bed. Could you let us know where you ordered that, too?

Blessings to you and your sweet family!
Kim

The canvas was made from someone locally...I just took her a sham from Abigail's bedding and she made it! The monogrammed pillow is from Pottery Barn teen. I think they had lots of colors.

So cute! I love it.

Just wanted to share with you that my brother and sister-in-law will be having a little girl in October. They will call her Abigail Joan! I think it is a wonderful name. I'm sure Abigail would agree! :)

God Bless you all!

I love it! My oldest has a more "grown-up" shabby chic type room but my second daughter has a room like Abigails :) with a robin's egg blue and bright pinks and oranges! Too funny!

I am still working on getting her room together after the addition and construction. I am a terrible procrastinator. After I saw BooMama's blog with the "Before & After" I decided that might hold me accountable....We'll see!

Beautiful room.
You have impecible taste. I love what you've done with your children's rooms.
I've said before -- I get a little envious that I don't have my own home to decorate when I see your beautiful home.
But then I remember that there are 6 of us on hubby's pastor salary and we don't have any money so I can't do much anyways.
OH well - YOURS is beautiful!
I am working on getting bedding made for my girls though and if I ever get it done and get their rooms looking like I want them to, I will share them. Hope they look as good as yours do!
Blessings!
