The Other Children's Bedrooms and Monday's Menu
Once Gracie's room was finished and she was all moved in, we concentrated on getting everybody else moved and in their new rooms. Jack Henry got all new stuff, because we had nothing for a boy's room. Evie kept her same bed and furniture, but moved to a different room. Abigail stayed in her same room, but got new bedding and a fresh new paint color on her walls. Every step of the process makes us see how much closer we are getting to our Lydia in China. The house is getting all ready for number 5! I still have lots to do! Especially in the nursery, but that will come. I'm hoping the new bedding for the crib I am wanting from Pottery Bar will go on sale soon.

Abigail's room will be coming next. I'm still working on window treatments for her room, but I will let you see what we have done so far. It is bright and fun!

Now for Monday's Menu:
Have a great week!
This is Evie's new room. Doesn't it look nice when it is all cleaned up? It definitely does not look like this everyday!
This is Jack Henry's new big boy room. I had so much fun picking out boy things! We're still looking for a rug to go in here, but it is pretty much finished for now.
Abigail's room will be coming next. I'm still working on window treatments for her room, but I will let you see what we have done so far. It is bright and fun!

Now for Monday's Menu:
Monday--Panko breaded chicken breasts from Fresh Market, seasoned green beans, spinach salad with strawberries, slivered almonds, vinaigrette dressing
Tuesday--Spaghetti with turkey meat sauce, whole wheat thin spaghetti, French bread
Wednesday- Pei Wei
Thursday--Grilled chicken panini, Flat Earth veggie chips, apple and pear wedges
Friday-- Chicken Pizza and salad
Saturday--Tomato Florentine soup if we are home.
Have a great week!

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

All the bedrooms look great! I love the bright, happy colors in Evie's room, and the blue in Jack Henry's room is so warm. You did a great job! Can't wait to see Abigail's room and the nursery. Hopefully that bedding will go on sale soon!
Our boys have such similar rooms! I love the green in Evie's room :) I wish I had somewhere to paint that color.
I did wait for the Pottery Barn bedding to go on sale for our baby Benjamin and it always does. They change out their patterns so quickly!
I love the pics. Thanks for sharing!
Precious & Adorable. :)
I love the look of all the rooms! Great job!
Both rooms are gorgeous, Kim. I just LOVE pink and green (my girls rooms are those colors). You decorate so well.
I love the menu, too. We tried your tomato florentine soup last week. Delicious!
You are so talented! Are you decorating the rooms all by yourself? They are beautiful!! Wanna come over and help me?! : ) Can't wait for Lydia to be home too!!!
Your home is truly gorgeous! You are one lady that has her act together!
C-U-T-E rooms!! And a lovely menu, too. Have a great week!
My daughter's room has almost the same green on the walls with pink accents as well. You did a great job, their rooms are beautiful! How do you keep your son from falling out of bed?ndgeq
We have wooded rails that match the bed that are under the bed...they just slip right in...but he is still in the nursery for now! He has not actually moved yet.
Love the pink and green. Very pretty!
I just love the new rooms! We have such simlar tastes in decorating. I bet the everyone is so excited about their new space.
Kim,
The bedrooms look great - do you hire out? I have so many ideas - but need to do it on a budget.
Allison,
No, I have done most of it myself...with Mike and the girl's help. The furniture was medium priced...not high end, but pretty good quality. I think it was from Haverty's. The pottery barn bedding and rug in Evie's room was purchased with Mike's rewards from his office credit card...that adds up pretty quick with all the supplies he has to buy for his office. That really helps us out in bigger purchases.
The wall unit was made by someone for us years ago...we just had it repainted and new hardware put on it...hardly cost anything.
Another nice thing is after Gracie and Abigail out grow some decorative things from their rooms, I can usually use it in Evie's.
We definitely have to work on a budget...and it may take me a while to finish with everything...we still need to have new window treatments in Abigail's room. But, we have to go slow. So, I know what you mean about all that!
Kim, what paint color did you use on Evie's room?
