Mexico
My oldest daughter left this morning at 6 am for Jerez, Mexico for a short term mission trip. The group will be traveling all day today and tomorrow by bus and should arrive there sometime late tomorrow evening. They will be gone for 10 days. They will be working with missionaries in a local church there. The main ministry Gracie will be doing is working with 2(morning and afternoon)vacation Bible schools. She will also be sharing her testimony on Thursday evening with a translator...she is a little bit nervous about that.

I know this will be a wonderful time of giving of herself to minister to others while learning to trust God more for everything. This is her third mission trip, but first time to leave the country for missions. Our prayers has been that this trip will be glorifying to God and that many will hear and respond to the gospel.

Here are some more specific prayer requests if you'd like to pray with us for their trip.
1) Pray that their travel will be safe and God would protect them all!
2) Pray that the youth going would be united on their purpose there and would be exemplary in their life...they will be witnesses by how they act in rest stops, restaurants, etc.
3) Pray that God would prepare the hearts of those who they will be sharing the Gospel with.
4) Pray that the love of Christ would be shown to a watching world as they work together with hearts desiring to glorify God above all.

We also have 2 other groups out for mission trips...one group that left yesterday for Kiev, Ukraine and one headed to New Mexico today. Thank you for your prayers!

What a great opportunity for your daughter! I am sure that she will grow through the experience, and that she will be a blessing to those she is ministering to.

Praying for a life-changing trip for Gracie! Brooke just got back from a week at church camp and she is flying high! Jeff was able to go with her this year and he said it was AMAZING! I'm sorry I missed it but so happy for her.

I will definitely be praying for your daughter, and your family while she's gone! I can look back now at the times I left for mission trips (each time going overseas), and I remember the tension my parents experienced - so excited, yet with a hint of nervousness wondering what may or may not happen while I was gone.

I can't wait to hear updates on her time down there!

Kim~
I will certainly be praying for Gracie!!!

Both of our children have gone to Mexico on short term missions trips (a very long ride from MN) and their lives were SO impacted. They both came home FOREVER changed!!!!

God will work in and through Gracie and I know her testimony will bless MANY...MANY hearts.

I will be praying for her sweet Mamma as well. I know ALL too well...the worry and fear that can grip a Mamma's heart when her children are on a Missions trip.

Kiim~

I can't wait to hear all about Gracie's experience sharing the gospel! What a testimony! I know my girls look forward to the day when they can share and serve in the same way.

Blessings and prayers while she's gone. Even though I know you trust in God's provision, it's always hard for momma when children are away ;)
