Gustav
We are in Destin and have had a great first day here...we got to spend time on the beach yesterday morning and had a delicious seafood dinner at Pompano Joe's with Mike's sister and their family last night. Mike and I also enjoyed a wonderful walk on the beach later last night as the waters began to rise.
We are on the outer edge of Gustav, but are still seeing lost of effects from it...this morning we woke up to the waves coming almost to the bottom floor of our condo. The beach we played on yesterday is completely covered with water. It is pretty impressive. We are experiencing some rain and wind...but just a few miles to our west(Pensacola)they are having serious storms with bunches of tornado warnings!
Here are 2 pictures from our condo windows...the one with the rail shows how close the water is getting to us. The beach is covered and we are amazed at the power of the storm.
We are praying for the people in New Orleans and areas that will be greatly affected by Gustav....they have already been through so much. Hopefully everyone has evacuated from the areas that will be hit the hardest.
If we are having these effects hundreds of miles away from the eye of the storm, I can not imagine what it must be like closer to the eye.

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

You guys have been on my mind as well as family in New Orleans.
Prayerful this passes with less intensity than has been projected!
God is so amazingly strong. Praying for the safety of those in Gustav's path.
hope you guys are having a great time, even with the crazy weather.
Those are spectacular views!
Stay safe.
Thanks for the reminder to pray. We have dear friends that recently moved to Pensacola to work for Abeka.
