Another One
Another child has it...Evie woke up last night with fever. Abigail is STILL sick. I am now wearing my surgical/medial mask(aka SARS mask). Any ideas how to keep an almost 2 year old away from a sick almost 4 year old? I'm off to buy more tyenol, ibuprofen and popsicles...I'm worried about dehydration--this stuff is lasting a long time.

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

Oh no Kim! The only advice I have is cover everything with towels to reduce the mess as much as possible in case they don't make the toilet :(
I'm feeling for you and praying too,
Laura
Bless your heart! I will pray for you and your girls - and I pray no one else will get it!
Oh yeah - just alot of purell (hand sanitizer) on the 2-year old, especially if they put their hands in their mouth alot. We had a virus over Christmas and everyone and everything was practically bathed in Lysol and Purell. Three out of the seven ended up avoiding the sickness. Will pray for you all.
I agree with Jenn. We keep a bottle near the kitchen table so that before anyone puts *anything* in their mouth (even if they have washed up) they have to use the sanitizer. Hang in there Kim- lot's of prayers for quick recovery's!
We've had the same thing here. I think it has finally passed through everyone and we are on the mend.
Lots of hand washing. :)
Hang in there, Kim!! Praying for y'all!
As far as the liquids go, I've read that having a special fancy cup to drink out of might help. I've also heard the idea of marking a cup with measurement lines and giving little prizes or rewards for drinking a certain amount. And maybe you could dub Jack Henry and Gracie "stay well buddies" and let her spend a lot of time with him doing simple crafts and activities while you care for the other two?
Will keep you in my prayers as well. When someone in my house gets sick, I load the others up on chewable echinacea or chewable Vitamin C tablets. Seems to work well most of the time. I used to put my kids (when they were little) on a sleeping bag in our bathroom tub so they were close, but not too close. Keep us posted!
