Can You Spell....
Condolences? Farthing? Transparent?
My Abigail spelled these right in our county spelling bee today! She missed loam in the 4th round! She spelled it lome...which phonetically does make sense!
I was proud of her...now she is determined to do better next year.
She is actually the first person in our family to get past the first round. They are good spellers, but the nervousness gets them everytime!
I was so proud!

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

Well done Abigail. I would never even enter a spelling bee. I am terrible. If it were not for spell check I would be in trouble.
WOO HOO! Good job Abigail.
Good job, Abigail! And, way to go Mom for being such a great teacher!
Hooray Abigail! I was a spelling maniac in elementary school. When I was her age I spelled 'sesquipedalian,' then immediately misspelled 'board.' I spelled it "borad." I got excited and spelled in way too fast. That took me down a couple of notches!
Wow, congrats to her!
Have you all watched "Akeelah and the Bee?" My husband I saw that movie recently and we liked it a lot.
Congrats, Abigail! I bet she will always remember how to spell that word, now. When I was in the County Spelling Bee, I lost on qualmish. I will always remember how to spell that one!
Hi, Kim

Go for you Abigail, for participating in the Spelling Bee.
A student from our church middle school won the county spelling bee. It was great news.
I love watching the national spelling bee on TV. We try to spell the words too.
