Are You In Need of Help???
I have this wonderful link on my sidebar that takes you to The National Association of Nouthetic Counseling. Some of you may have seen it before and maybe even gone to it. I want to take the time to recommend it to you all. There are so many hurts and concerns that can go on in this fallen world we live in...the Bible has answers! I am a big supporter of Biblical counseling, because in it lies true answers....It can be helpful for big issues and little issues.....maybe you have had a major tragedy occur in your life...a death of a loved one, a divorce, abuse, diagnosis of cancer, etc...or maybe you lack Biblical joy or seem discontent or struggle with certain areas of sin...maybe you just need some encouragement. If you are seeking Biblical help, I would recommend going here and go to resources. You can then click on articles, books, audios, etc. There are many wonderful articles and book recommendations. Even if your church does not have good Biblical counseling ministry, there are resources available to help you.

I have been greatly encouraged by many articles at this site. We all will need some help along this journey at one time or another. Just wanted to share something very beneficial to those seeking Biblical answers to the problem we face. To admit that we need help is not a sign of weakness, but a show of wisdom. It is wisdom because you are seeking help and it is also wisdom to be seeking it in the right places. Many people, books, and churches offer help...but we must turn to God's Word for REAL help. May God bless you today!

Exactly right Kim, Our church offers this type of biblical counseling. We are blessed to have 3-4 people from our church who have gone through the NANC course and have become NANC certified. So often we don’t seek the help of biblical counselors when we really need to because of pride, shame, or concern about what others might think. Yet, our pain can become such a hindrance in our spiritual race. If left un addressed our struggle can take on a life of its own. My heart goes out to those who are hurting...we all struggle...Even though I fully understand Gods sovereign loving purpose in trials. He has allowed a trial in my life that has tested me like nothing else has ever tested me. I never thought I would need to seek help “in this way.” Depression, sin, our thought life, feelings of failure and personal struggles can be taboo subjects among believers. Yet, God provides help in His Word and it can be so helpful to talk with someone and get a biblical perspective about our situation. I can personally recommend NANC. Blessings, Terri

All of your resources, ministries, and books you list on your sites are the exact ones we use/carry at our church...all reformed theology, and Scripture centered....I feel like we go to the same church or something!

Kim,
This is great encouragement. Had it not been for Biblical Counseling, my husband and I would most likely not still be married today. I praise God for having a husband willing to humble himself and lead us to Biblical Marriage Counseling. I praise the Lord for His faithfulness to our marriage. We do not have a NANC counselor near us, but we have found two great counselors through New Life Ministries at NEWLIFE.com. One in Los Angeles and one here in Maryland. There are some great resources on their website as well. I cannot speak as an expert on their organization, but have found two very good Biblical Counselors through New Life. As with everything in a Christian's life, it is important to examine the words of a counselor against the Bible.

Thanks again for this!
Leigh

That is so true Kim. Not one of us is immune to needing help along this journey. Thanks for the link.
