God's Greatest Blessings Sometimes Come in Small Packages!

I can remember vividly the day you were born, little one. I can also remember the desire God had given me in my heart for another child. I wanted you so badly! God was so kind and gracious to give us you. You have been a blessing since the day God formed you in my womb and I praise God for His wonderful gift of you!

You are a BIG five years old today. You can play make believe, color the most beautiful pictures, and even read some books...you can paint gorgeous masterpieces, make your own bed, set the table, and play 2 songs on the piano! You have grown from a baby girl into a beautiful sweet young lady. We all love you so much!

I bought a picture for your room when we moved you from the nursery into a big girl room...It says CHERISH in the middle of it. I liked it because of what it said around the border of the picture and the meaning of those words...for we do really cherish you. Here are those words that we feel about you!

My precious angel
Do you know how much we cherish you?
Do you know know how we count
Each overheard giggle
Each pitter-patter through the hallway
Each shared dream and problem solved
Each twinkle in your eyes
Each goodnight hug
Each moment we get to spend with you
As a perfect blessing?
We are so proud to call you our daughter.
It is a privilege to know you,
To love you, and to watch you become who
You're intended to be.
And it's our hearts greatest delight to be
Your mom and dad.
We cherish you abundantly!

This morning, as we celebrated Evie's fifth birthday with our traditional strawberry pancake breakfast,we were pleasantly surprised with a beautiful snowfall. It is still snowing now...and Evie is having a GREAT day!

Tears!!! She *is* a precious girl - I'm glad God gave her to you and we get to share in your bounty. :) She is a precious friend to Elizabeth.

I hope her birthday was wonderful!! Elizabeth is so looking forward to her party - has had her outfit chosen for over a week! (how funny is that?)
