Some Sweet Valentines
I am feeling the love today...this came just a few minutes ago from my Valentine. Aren't they beautiful? I am so thankful this morning for God giving me my husband. He is such a faithful, encouraging, and wonderful husband. I think so often how he has been such a source of strength in our family. His humble attitude of serving us is a beautiful picture of Christ...not that he is perfect, but his life is a great example to all of us who are blessed to be with him everyday. These red roses will be the centerpiece for our family annual candlelight dinner tonight. So pretty!!!
And...what an honor to receive this award from Terri at Keeping the Pace...Thank you Terri. I sure do not consider my blog worthy of this award...But God is excellent in every way and I do try to boast in Him and what He is doing in our lives on my blog. Pointing to Christ and His wonderful gospel is excellent and praise worthy! Thank you for thinking of me!

And lastly, the sweetest love of all...
For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.
Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus throughout all generations, forever and ever. Amen. Ephesians 3:14-21
Last night I was blessed to hear such wonderful teaching from our student ministries pastor on this passage. He ended with such a beautiful picture of the love of Christ...which explains,to an extent, but not totally, the breadth, length, height, and depth of Christ's love for us. He described Christ's love like this:
Christ's Love is wide enough...
...to cross the bridge of separation our sin has caused.
...to forgive us as far as the east is from the west.
Christ's Love is long enough...
...to last throughout eternity.
...to stretch back from the foundations of the earth.
His love is high enough...
...to cover all of our sins piled up to heaven.
...to bring about eternal life.
And His love is deep enough...
...to rescue us from the pit of hell, our deserved destination.
...to reach us in our depravity.
Amen. And now, because He loves us, let us show others His love today.

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.
