Out and About
It is wonderful to have other women bloggers who are so like minded. That is so encouraging to me. I know I have learned a lot from them and have even seen some error in my thinking at times. That kind of reproof is so helpful in my life! I have been so blessed by meeting some very special women out there through my blog. So for today's post and the culmination to the discussions we have had here on courtship and dating, I would like to link to some of my favorite blogs and a few extra links that pertain to this topic.
The Purple Cellar is one of my all time favorite blogs...I think this must be because Lydia is so wise and has so much to teach others! I have learned a lot from her! Please read this post and while you are there go ahead and read some more...you will be challenged as well as encouraged to live more godly today.
I have a new favorite added to my recommended reading. Passionate Homemaking has been so refreshing to read! I love her healthy living lifestyle, her Biblical convictions, and her beautiful courtship story! You must read that! This is what I am praying for with my daughters! I could just spend all day at her place reading...but my life allows for about only 3 minutes there. Also, there is a link on her blog for *Christa Taylor*, her family owned business...which is a great women's clothing online shop! The clothing is modest, which is sometimes hard to find! I ordered a couple of things recently! I recommend it for cute and modest clothing for you and your older daughters!
Kim at Mercy Days has a way of saying what I think in less than 100 words(well, maybe a little more)...which is a talent! I love her simple outlook found here.
Here is another courtship story...a must read! I love reading these!
I will close with this great article...it contains some helpful information.
Thanks for reading all my posts on this topic. We take it pretty seriously...can you tell? Ha! Seriously, though...we love our children and truly just want God's best for them! There is a strong pull to stray from this way of thinking, because dating and s*exual impurity is so much the norm in our society. It will take diligence on our part as well as a passion for purity from our children's hearts. That is our prayer...that the Lord would draw them to Himself and cause their lives to be radically different from the world...that He would be glorified...and that God would be treasured and magnified through their lives.
Also, as you can see I revamping my blog roll. I have my recommended reading up for now and am trying to get the rest figured out. Thanks for your patience!

I am a stay at home mother to 4. I am very blessed to have a godly husband who loves the Lord and his family. I welcome the days of much needed grace, the times of sweet victories, and the tears of trials, knowing it is all for God's glory. I want my lifesong to sing to Him,the author and finisher of my faith. Soli Deo Gloria--To the Glory of God alone.

Thanks for this series of posts. I love hearing what other moms are doing to prepare their daughters for life. Our girls are still young, but we are already seeing how this world is trying to influence them, even in the areas of boys! Crazy!
My husband and I have had a few conversations about this topic lately and how we are going to prepare our children. Thanks again!
Thanks for sharing this, I have really enjoyed following along. I agree w/Kelly. My girls are still young, but there is definitely still things coming at them that we need to be aware of and in prayer about.
Kim,
Thanks so much for your sweet comments. It means so much to me! You are to be commended for your thoughtful efforts to prepare your daughters for this process. Lovely daughters by the way!
God bless,
Lindsay
This is such great information Kim. Dallas and I have been talking about this topic together, even though we do not yet have children. This is helping us study and learn how we should lead our own children through the dating years. I think you are never to early to begin thinking about this subject. We will refer to this often!
God Bless!
Leigh
I just got around to reading all the links you gave. Very good! I really liked reading the courtship stories and see how it all played out it "real" life.
Once again, thanks for this series.
Kim, I've enjoyed the posts too. I appreciate the link to the blog with the book club. I'm going to participate but was afraid I wouldn't be able to get the book before then. I'm thankful a local bookstore ordered it for me Tuesday, and it came in today.
Also, I was helped by Lydia's post too. If you wonder why I came to your blog so many times in such a short time, it was because I kept forgetting to sign in to my own blog since I wanted to comment at Lydia's.
